On August 5, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ held an extraordinary General Meeting of Founders.
The meeting participants reviewed proposed amendments to the Accreditation Agreement. Under Resolution No. 05-42, the General Meeting approved a new version of the Agreement, which will come into force on September 10, 2026. The decision was made to ensure the uninterrupted provision of domain name services following the entry into force of Federal Law No. 569‑FZ of December 29, 2025, effective September 1, 2026.
The new version stipulates that existing Accreditation Agreements with registrars will terminate on the earlier of two dates: the date when the registrar is included in the official list of legal entities authorized to register domain names in the .RU and/or .РФ top-level domains, or January 18, 2027. This provision gives existing registrars the ability to continue accepting and processing registrant applications while they complete the necessary steps to be added to the registrar list.
Registrars will receive further information on the listing procedure once the relevant regulations have been adopted.
The new version of the Accreditation Agreement is now available on the Coordination Center website in the Official Documents section.
In addition, General Meeting participants reviewed and acknowledged the 2025 activity report of the Smart Internet Foundation (the registry for the .ДЕТИ domain), as well as information and financial reports on the targeted use of funds by the ANO Center for Global IT-Cooperation, and ANO Center for Monitoring and Protection of Rights in the Digital Environment. A number of other agenda items were also discussed.
