The preliminary program for the 19th International Conference of Country Code Top-Level Domain Administrators and Registrars from Eastern Europe and Central Asia (TLDCON 2026) has been released.
This two-day event will once again unite leading experts from the domain industry, representatives of national and international registries, and IT companies to explore key trends, challenges, and future prospects for market development.
The conference will kick off with a session featuring international partners. The official opening ceremony will also include the signing of new cooperation agreements between national registries.
The first day of the event will center on strategic and commercial aspects of the industry. Participants will discuss partner updates, contemporary marketing tools for domain zones, and the integration of artificial intelligence into registry operations. A specialized track will be dedicated to “special service regimes,” where experts will examine the particulars of domain registration for government agencies and mechanisms for trademark protection. Additionally, APNIC Chief Scientist Geoff Huston will deliver a presentation entitled “Houston, We Have a Problem.”
The second day of the conference will be exclusively devoted to cybersecurity. Positive Technologies expert Alexey Lukatsky will deliver a lecture on threat forecasting and security strategies. Core discussions will focus on DNS abuse, with participants reviewing emerging approaches to preventing coordinated attacks and mechanisms for registrar accountability, as well as discussing domain threat taxonomies and security modeling. The business agenda will conclude with a youth session, where young professionals and students will discuss their involvement in internet governance processes and opportunities to participate in real-world industry projects.
Beyond the business agenda, TLDCON 2026 attendees can anticipate a “Day Zero” event on September 21, during which conference speakers will meet with students and faculty from Tashkent universities and deliver lectures on the development of the internet and domain space in Russia and worldwide. That day will also feature a meeting of the Regional and Russian Universal Acceptance Coordination Groups for the CIS and Eastern Europe, alongside experts from the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC), and the evening will conclude with a welcome cocktail reception for all participants.

The conference will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, at the Panarams Tashkent Hotel on September 22–23, 2026. The event is organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, with support from UZINFOCOM, the Unified Integrator for the Creation and Support of State Information Systems.
