On May 19, the 10th anniversary competition for online journalists "DOT Journalism 2022" started on the Main Stage of RIF 2022. This is a competition for journalists writing about domains and other Internet addressing systems, which is held by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and RAEC with the support of the Smart Internet Foundation, ROCIT and REG.RU.
Traditionally, Director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ Andrey Vorobyev and the Head of the press service of the RAEC Ekaterina Demkina gave the start to the competition. “This year, we are celebrating 10 years since the launch of the first “DOT Journalism” competition. Over the years, a whole pool of journalists has formed who write about the Internet and domains, and we see that they are professionally savvy in the domain market. So we are waiting for journalists from central and regional presses, as well as newcomer correspondents to our competition - for them we are reopening the nomination “DOT Оournalism. Junkors,” Andrey Vorobyev said.
Ekaterina Demkina made an unexpected proposal: “Today, not only professional journalists write for the mass reader, but also bloggers, who sometimes have a larger audience than popular media. Why don't we make a “DOT Blogger” nomination for them, with the same requirements as for materials published in the media?”
Application round for the “DOT Journalism 2022” competition is going to be open until November 1, 2022. The results will be summed up at Russian Internet Week 2022 - the winners of the competition will receive diplomas and valuable prizes. The competition jury consists of heads of press services of organizations related to the domain industry.
Articles, reports, analytical materials devoted to the events of the domain industry and related topics are accepted for consideration by the jury. All materials should be created and published between January 1 and November 1, 2022.
