The General Meeting of Founders of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ was held on February, 28. The Founders approved new editions of the regulatory documents - the Accreditation Agreement, the Commission Regulations on Controversial Issues Related to Accreditation, the Policy for granting access to the .RU and .РФ domain zone file. Registrars will be notified on the enhancement of new versions of documents no later than 30 calendar days before the date of their entry into force.
Also, the GMF members considered the issue of amending the Regulations on the Audit Commission of the ANPO "Coordination Center for the National Internet Domain", Regulations on the special status of GOV.RU, KREMLIN.RU, GOVERNMENT.RU, ПРЕЗИДЕНТ.РФ, ПРАВИТЕЛЬСТВО.РФ domain names, The Order of Convening of the General Meeting of Founders and Formation of the Draft Agenda of the Meeting. All new edited documents have been already approved.
At the meeting, the information and financial reports of ANPO «Center for Global IT-Cooperation» and ANPO «Center for Monitoring and Protection of Rights in the Digital Environment» were considered and taken into account, furthermore a decision was made on further funding of these organizations.
We would recall that ANPO «Center for Global IT-Cooperation» and ANO «Center for Monitoring and Protection of Rights in the Digital Environment» were established by GMF in November 2020. The objectives of the ANPO «Center for Monitoring and Protection of Rights in the Digital Environment» are to ensure the realization of human and civil rights and freedoms in the digital environment; assistance in improving the security of the use of information and communication technologies and the Internet and assistance in increasing the digital literacy of citizens of the Russian Federation. And ANPO «Center for Global IT-Cooperation» is engaged in research, educational, analytical activities and will contribute to the creation of favorable conditions for promoting Russian initiatives and approaches at the international level. Among the priority tasks are creation of a system to motivate young people to participate in international IT cooperation, increase in the number of Russian experts in specialized international organizations and creation of partnerships in the IT field at the national and international levels.
A number of other organizational issues were also considered at the meeting.
The General Meeting of Founders is the supreme governing body of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ. The founders of the Coordination Center are currently the Russian Federation, the functions and powers on behalf of which are carried out by Roskomnadzor, "Regional Public Center of Internet Technology" (ROCIT), CSO "Russian Association of Networks and Services" (RANS), ANO "Russian Institute for Public Networks” (RIPN) and ANPO “Internet Development Institute” (IRI).
