The time is exceptionally good: the blockbuster premiere of Christopher Nolan’s movie, The Odyssey, has remained an almost only talk of the town, including media and social networks, for three weeks running. To date, the film's box office proceeds have exceeded $910 million ($395.5 million in the US and Canada and $515.9 million internationally), and there is no doubt that the $1 billion mark will be reached shortly.
Given this, the interest in The Odyssey is enormous and the relevant domain name will definitely attract attention. TheOdyssey.com was registered way back in 1999 – about 3,000 years after Homer wrote his poem, but 25 years earlier than Nolan undertook its adaptation, so there is no need to worry about problems with the right holders. Currently, the domain is owned by Nick Spanos, a Greek American. He is famous as one of the first crypto currency advocates: in 2013 Spanos opened a Bitcoin Center NYC. He is also an experienced domain investor.
Nick Spanos wants $1 million for his domain. He has already notified Elon Musk about the domain’s availability. The richest man on the planet, as it is well known, was extremely unsatisfied with Nolan’s film and promised to release his own “historically accurate” adaptation of The Odyssey before the end of the year. He plans to produce it using Grok Imagine, an AI-powered image and video generation service.
