Gambling industry bets on domains

Domain investor James Booth announced on Twitter that he sold his domain name BetU.com. The deal was made via Squadhelp, a domain name sales platform that helps businesses select a brand name. The buyer of BetU.com, whose name is registered under Whois privacy, paid $180,000 for the domain.

Reporting this news, Domain Investing noted that the gambling industry is investing more in the purchase of premium domain names. This is the third largest gambling domain sale in 2021. The GoBet.com domain was bought in January for $850,000, and Poker.net changed its owner in March for $750,000.
